Christmas in April

Just posting to make a huge shout-out to masterminis.net and their insane giveways.
This morning I received a mint copy of the out of print space hulk board game.
Prize that I won by solely writing a comment on their blog.
Are you sceptical? Don't believe it?
Here are the pictures of it arriving at my home:

Just to give you an idea of how insanely good this prize is : It retails at 200 GBP on ebay.

So  the object of this post is solely to thank masterminis and invite you all to go check out the blog and if not buy their dvd to take look at some of their articles.

Go ahead and check them out at mastermins.net, if not just to leave a comment on the blog and maybe win one of their amazing prizes.

Do it! What do you have to lose?

  1. That is awesome! I'm still waiting on mine because my address got lost and I had to resend it. It is pretty incredible that we both won! Can't wait to see it all painted up.

    1. Frankly I thought it would never arrive...I also had to resend my email address several months after the actual draw...and only then did I receive a much awaited confirmation email.
It then took them weeks and several emails later to tell me that they would or had sent it...then the german post offices were on strike.
So yeah it took a very long time to get here...
but it was all worth the wait!
Except for one thing I hadn't realized...its in German!
And I don't speak German...oh well I'll just print the bloody rules in English...caus' I'm not painting all these minis and not playing the actual game!

About your prize if you got an email confirmation with Michael (aka Zaphod) telling you your prize has been sent then its most probably on its way...you just have to be patient.

    2. Mind you I live in France which is probably much closer from Germany then where you live. ;)

    3. I sure hope mine isn't in German! At least yours you still have the model, but a Codex is useless if you can't read it (besides the pictures). He e-mailed me to say that he sent it, so it should be on it's way, but as you said, France is much much closer than Seattle Washington. It has to go across the Atlantic, and then across the whole US before it gets here. But I'm in no hurry. It's just good to know that you got yours so there is still hope for mine!
By the way, are you from France originally, or did you move there because your English is excellent. I've tried learning both German and Spanish in the past, but since no one here speaks anything besides English there is nowhere to practice so I just end up forgetting. I may just be doomed to be an ignorant American.

    5. My mother is from Seattle but I was born and raised in the suburbs of Paris.
I have visited my folks on mainland every year since I was a kid...hence my English being fairly good.
I tried to learn German at school but never got the hang of it...got better in Spanish on the other hand.

And yeah the collector codices are all in English. ;)

Glad we both got our prizes!
      untill next time,
      Thomas.

    6. I live in Tacoma and go to UW in Seattle. Small world (kinda). My wife lived in Spain for about a year, so at least part of my family is bilingual. I talk to analytical chemists all the time, so maybe that counts as another language. Well, I gotta be off to class, so have a good day and enjoy the Space hulk!
